A soundtrack of analogue synths, electronic rhythms and ethereal vocals combines with data visualisation, video projection and lasers for a performance inspired by themes of climate change and migration.
Sentinel is written & performed by Richard Evans (formerly a keyboardist with James, songwriter & guitarist with indie chart-topping new wave act St Vitus Dancers); with vocals by Olympia Hetherington (appearing courtesy of the RNCM) and lighting design by Joel Clements.
The performance is followed by a panel discussion featuring experts in climate change, virology and immunology, Dr Joanne Pennock and Professor David Robertson from the University of Manchester alongside Dr Ed Hawkins from the University of Reading.
Sentinel is produced by Cold Star Media & Ric Michael with support from Arts Council England as part of the Aeon: Miracle smartphone app project.
